USPS is our primary shipping carrier.
We do our best to apply fair shipping costs to each order.
We charge a low, flat shipping rate to be fair to all customers.
Selecting expedited shipping during checkout does not ensure a faster processing time. Your product may still need 5 to 7 business days to be assembled and shipped.
I cannot accept returns for books and signed copies.
However, should your copy arrive damaged, misprinted, wet, or soiled, I will make it right.*
In such a case, we will require a receipt or proof of purchase directly from LaurisaBrandt.com and photos of the damage for our records.
If you received a damaged or misprinted book from a third party (eBay, used book sellers), retailer (Target, Barnes & Noble, etc.), or print-on-demand company (Amazon KDP, Ingram Spark, etc.) you will need to contact that retailer.
*I have no control over order/product quality and issues sustained on books printed and delivered through third parties retailers. I do have control over the source files, but not the printed product (book dimension variance, cover hues & saturation differences, blank pages, missing pages, upside down covers, someone else’s content printed inside my book’s cover or someone else’s cover bound to my book, etc.) as this can vary from one printer and printing to another. Fortunately these incidents are very rare, and the printer should be able to handle your request.
My print quality guarantee only applies to products sold through LaurisaBrandt.com or at my in-person signings and local events. I personally check all copies I sell directly to ensure that my readers receive only the highest quality paperbacks.
Books with imperfections are either returned to my printers, donated to my local Little Free Libraries and coffee shops, or given second-chance lives when I make them available at a discount through my store.
Please do not send your purchase back to me without written authorization, as I cannot issue refunds for surprise returns.
To reduce paper waste and negative effects on the environment, books with minor blemishes will sometimes be listed for sale. These listings will detail and grade the book’s unique features. B grade copies may have wrinkled covers or scuffed spines. C grade copies may have dog-eared corners or more than one noticeable flaw.
